VTTA Midlands Series

Echelon/VTTA Points Series 2010 - BCDA 10

VTTAAs the Echelon 10 mile tt had to be cancelled in July, Don Picken kindly said he would let us use his event in August for our points series. The K48/10 is not a fast course and the winds at the weekend, plus occassional downpours didnt make it any easier! The event was won by James Perkins, Zenith RC in 21.19.  Ron Hallam was the first vet on standard with a plus of 7.3. Second was Tony taylor a plus of 6.14 (this is his first event since his epic lejog experience). Third was Rob Weare with a plus of 5.22.

VTTA Midlands - Points Series

VTTA logoI actually rode an event on Saturday which stayed dry, with not much wind and the occasional patch of blue sky - what is the world coming to?

Our Midlands Points Series, kindly sponsored by Echelon Cycles of Pershore, kicked off at the beginning of April with a Ten Mile TT on the Princethorpe course near Coventry ably organised by our President, Roger Gillitt backed up with enthusiasm by his happy band of helpers.  Mike Ford has taken over the statistics side and we now have the riders positions for the Series and also for the season long WE Jones competition.  The tables are presented below in detail and will be updated for both competitions as the season progresses.

VTTA Midlands AGM 2pm Sunday 16th November 2008 at Catherine de Barnes Centre

VTTA Midlands Group

This is your invitation to the AGM of the VTTA Midlands Group at the Catherine De Barnes centre which is next to The Boat pub where excellent lunches are served. You could ride your bike to the pub for lunch and then roll into the AGM! Tell your friends; bring them along. This year we will be voting for a new President and there are a number of important items on the agenda (see below) which would benefit from your contribution. Les Lowe, our Group recorder, needs some help; he has excellent computer programmes for every aspect of the job, they are easy to use and do most of the calculations. However, Les would welcome some help so please give it some thought and see if you can spare a little time. Many thanks.
